Many standards promulgated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) explicitly require employers to train employees in the safety and health aspects of their jobs. Other OSHA standards make it the employer’s responsibility to limit certain job assignments to employees who are “certified,” “competent,” or “qualified”-meaning that they have had special previous training, in or out of the workplace. These requirements reflect OSHA’s belief that training is an essential part of every employer’s safety and health program for protecting workers from injuries and illnesses.

It is mandatory to know the emergency evacuation plan and the drill exercise for every one in any industry or gathering where in lots of people are saved because of prior information. This safety education must be compulsory for every one as it safeguards life in any drastic calamities or  accidents. Safety training is very much improtant

Yes it is important to be briefly discussed in the Orientation and onboarding program.

i would highly recommend a card to be given and always be available with each employee on what to do with regards to his / her position and location to safeguard other colleagues and customers.

But to give such topic its right, a detailed evacuation procedures training should be put in place and part of the TNA / Training calendars and be given quarterly to all employees with a live drill once every 6 months to keep our people refreshed and know how to deal with such situations naturally God forbids.

Yes, definately. In the event of an emergency, employees and management need to be well drilled so that they are confident and knowledgeable of the requirements while evacuating to the emergency point.
