1- Explain the benefits / importance of performance appraisal to managers and their subordinates. you can use PA in the following things: distributing bonus, merit increase, succession plan, training..etc.
2- Every employee must have the commitment towards the PA and take it seriously. PA is a must thing if you want to improve the efficiency and productivity of the company. From PA, you can understand the weakness and strength of an employee, also you can use the results of PA for promotions if there are many competitors to a new position, or if you want to have a succession plan for an employee like we mentioned before .
3- Managers and their subordinates should set up the Objectives together to have clear goals for the year, the reason for that, is to have an accurate and honest PA without any troubles between managers and employees. However, managers have the final decision for accepting the submitted objectives, which is already discussed, and start grading them in a given period by HR team.
