I was involved in implementing VSS (thrice) for a telecomm. company.
In my experience, the technical staff fared better than the non-tech. general admin staff.
Tech staff were interviewed and picked up readily by other companies immediately.
I assume they handled their job interviews well that is why they got picked up.
The general admin staff, had difficulty finding jobs. Most of them, started their own businesses from the money they got through VSS.
