What team building activities does your company participate in that you can recommend?

Well there are so many things you can do for example: -i had a jar on my desk that was dedicated to feeding the poor, and when ever any of my employee were late they would put in a dollar.
-also we had team nights once a week, where i would take the team anywhere, for example dinner golfing, partying whatever but once a month we would give back to the community if it was blood drives or tree planting or picking up trash or even volunteer work

Tree planting

outdoor activity, beach dinner, balling team challenge, celebration over launch of new winning contract or hitting targets on quarterly basis.
providing awards to individuals shining during gathering even in the office with cake distributed.
making the team feel one family I guess is the message need to be delivered and awarding those over achieve without biasness..
