1. Enter your computer's BIOS.
2. Find your BIOS's boot options menu.
3. Select the CD-ROM drive as the first boot device of your computer.

1. If you have a Windows7 DVD, boot your PC with that DVD, if you dont have, download the windows ISO image from internet, after that you need to burn it on DVD or you can install windows by USB.

Steps for installing windows 7 operating system from a cd/dvd

·         Put on the pc, insert the dvd onto the drive and press f2 continuously during the boot process and choose to boot through the cd/dvd which will start loading the files

·         A windows setup window will appear. Select the language to use and click on next. Click on the INSTALL NOW button and proceed to next step

·         On the license agreement window, click on I accept and proceed next.  Two options to install windows Upgrade or Custome. Choose custom because we are installing the operating system afresh

·         The next step requires you to partition your drive. You can opt to install in the original drive or create a new drive which is highly recommended. Click new to create a new drive

·         Once the drive is created, select the drive you want to install the operating system, click format. This will erase all the previous data on the drive. Click next to proceed.

·         Windows will start installing files. Ensure there is no power interruption during this process otherwise some data might be lost and the process will start again

·         Once all files are installed, the pc will be rebooted and you will see user setting screen. Add your name and password and proceed to next

·         In this step you will be required to give the license key to activate windows. Put the key on your cd to activate and click next

·         You are done with windows installation. Fill in the windows set up information requested to finish the set up.

To install windows from USB, you need to make a bootable USB from software called RUFUS

- download windows iso online and and use RUFUS to make USB bootable 

-Restart computer and go to BIos setting ususally by F8 or pressing ESC while rebooting and select boot from USB in first order.

-incase of CD/DVD just select boot from CD/DVD ROM first.
