Some corporates are so concious about processes but do not realise that sometimes that is causing a negetive impact to their business.

Processes are meant to be guidelines to getting a work done using the right channel. I have always been an advocate to adhering to Processes, no matter it takes additional time.

What's essential here is - The Clients / Vendors / Higher manageemnt / your staff.. are all well aware of the advantages of following processes.

If by any chance, there is a real urgency of by-passing an establilshed process, which will help the business gain Revenue, then it's worth looking at.. and re-design some aspects of the workflow.

Lengthy processes were the old ways to get the work done. Modern management teaches us how to get the work done with the least possible resources and time. Thats what a manager does to get the work done in least possibe process. The lengthier the process the more chances of failue since business environment chages like wind direction and it depnds upon the ability of the manager how he handles tipical issues.
