Making relatonship with your co-workers is always helpful
It is really an ideal situation where colleagues have good understanding and frankness. It improve not only work environment but it also helps for smooth working!
A 9-5 job or any other that requires you to spend 8 hours or more at work, plus the travel time added takes a big chunk out of your life, the other of course being sleep if you sleep for let's say 8 hours, combined that add up to 16 hours or more which gives you 8 hours or perhaps a bit less than that for personal life that has its own resposibilities. So yes, when you are spending a lot of time in a certain place, you do tend to make friends, it is the very human psychology to seek out companionship and some jobs that negatviely affect your work/life balance can have the individual seek out friends where they spend most of their time. Although I would like to add that in a professional place, it is great to make friends but to ensure that friendship does not over ride professionalism or create a negative work environment.
Friend ship can make a good relationship and helpfull to complete the target's and company growth.
It's a tricky question, the question is answerable by a question, "WHY NOT?"
This can happen, you and your colleague can be best friends but not to the extent the where work ethics is being set aside. There are things in the work place that needs confidentiality and professionalism, these 2 things are overlooked when there is over familiarity between your workmates.
Not always, as they will spent more time talking each other rather then working,,, :p
