Actually, this is something very hard to analyse for the time being, and based the following metric evaluation you can almost measure social media's effects on search ranking.

Author centric Metrics

  • Twitter metrics ie no of followers, Twitter list count, friend-to-follower ratio.
  • Google+ metrics ie no of circles included in, circled to circling ratio.
  • Influence metrics ie the Klout Score, Peer Index Score etc...

Content Engagement Metrics

  • Twitter metrics ie the total no of tweets, no of tweets within the first hour/day/week, highest Klout score of a Twitter promoter, average Klout score of tweeters, total click-through from all Twitter-based short links.
  • Google+ metrics ie no of shares, etc, highest Klout score of a Twitter promoter, average Klout score of tweeters, total click-through from all Twitter-based short links.
  • PostRank score for content after hrs/1 week
  • Facebook metrics ie no of likes, shares etc.
