Answer respective question, Relation between Gmb, Gmm & Asphalt content is to determine compaction percentage using Gmb to Gmm at specific asphalt content. BULK SPECIFIC GRAVITY (Gmb) is a ratio of the weight of a unit volume of compacted HMA mixture to the weight of an equal volume of water, MAXIMUM THEORETICAL SPECIFIC GRAVITY (Gmm) – Ratio of the weight of a unit volume of uncompacted HMA mixture to the weight of an equal volume of water. ASPHALT CONTENT is a binding cement. Gmb is the determination of compaction level of HMA mix referring MAXIMUM THEORETICAL SPECIFIC GRAVITY (Gmm) at different ASPHALT CONTENTS to find suitable design for HMA. We keep in consideration, Air Voids, Gmb, VMA, Flow, VFA, Stability, loss of Stability, against asphalt content for selecting asphalt content.
