There are a lot of activities need to be done in the closing phase of a project and before dispose it and start a new one, such as:
- Sponsor/Customer acceptance of the specified deliverable
- Sponsor/Custome sign off agreement of any active contracts related to the project to be terminated
- Finalize documenting the lessons learned
- Archive the project data for a future needs
- Release the resources
In addition to the our colleagues answers for the several procedures done when the project closing date announced, I would like to confirm further points which have to be done as :
1- Close all sub-contracts with Subcontractors and Sub-suppliers as agreements
2- Stoppage all the site activities as the Construction and Installation works
3- All the routine Documentation and Communications with all Project Departments have to be kept
4- After assuring that the project implemented as per the agreed specifications and all deliverable accepted from the sponsors and other stakeholders, Machinery, Equipment and workers and any accommodation and facilities have to be stopped and transferred to another project site
If the project is a tender
Pricing conditions book
Provide the necessary documents
Conditions book with the documents at the Studies Office mode or the owner of the project before the end date of the announcement
In the case of the project did not tender
Agreement with the owner of the project on price and delivery time and other conditions
