Not all the time, there are certain internal and external factors linked to the company performance. However, marketing leaves impression in the customer minds which pays in longer run but some times in short run (seasonal impact)

I think this question is very general, the basic purpose of marketing is to increase awareness hence increase sales hence increase proftit.

It is very hard to measure the effect of the marketing activity on sales/profit. (ROI) but by analyzing the sales movements after the event, we can say how much approximately the effect was and measure if this marketing expese did reflect profit / loss
