“Anybody that ever tells me that I can’t do something – that's just more fuel to my fire. I love it when people say ‘oh you can’t do this, you can’t do that,’ because they’re the ones that make me TRAIN, they make me do the extra rep, to throw the extra 10lbs on the bar, they’re the ones that, when I step on stage, I want them right along side me so I can just destroy them on stage". – Guy Cisterino

Let me replace the term character to personality.

Successful employee within an organization has a combination of skill, personality, ability, knowledge, and experience. While skills, knowledge, and ability develop with experience & training but an employee’s personality is unlikely to change.

Don’t confuse personality with skills. No amount of training or professional development will change an employee’s personality and/or feelings about particular tasks.

Organisation invests mostly on professional training skills not much on personality.

For personality development training one can take it privately.

Yes, Trainings definitely change the way people work and interact with others.

Not character but behavior and approach towards achieving goals.

Thanks for inviting, the crisp answer is "Yes". But it has to be supported by the right training approach.

If the fundamental or personality adjustments are to be done the relevant trainings should be reinforced.

Character is much more complicated and intricate than to assume that it can easily be changed by a training course. The fact that our characters reflect in our behavior and attitude may allow us to say that training may influence behaviour and therefore on long term affect values and attitude to bring about some change to our so called character.

The important fact is that training is focused on skills more than any other ingredient of performance.

Moral Training can change him, professional training can't change his character.

A training can only provide knowledge on products and services. It can provide basic etiquette required to carry out the job successfully. But i doubt about it changing the Character of a person. Be it any type of training, the same will be effective only if the person is willing to change.

Training can impart new skill development but a character is a trait of an individual it can not be easily changed by training but can be improved by identifying the behavioral competencies and then train them.
