Is it right to make sometimes your team take the decision themselves?

The existent of the team means the existent of leader herself/himself, the good leader is the one who will give every right decision to help/her his team in progressing, developing and increasing productivity even if this decision must be taken by the team themselves. This step will end by teaching the team how and when to give the right decisions, give them confidence with their work and at same time you'll be surprised with results in your team's productivity. The secret is how to do it Right?!

Yes of course. If we don't allow them this liberty to take decisions, how will they act? I believe in 'delegate and trust' model. Delegate them the authority to perform within their domain and trust then can deliver. You will get wonderful results.

No; because you are the one that takes responsibilities for the outcome of the team performance.

If your team makes a bad decision without your knowledge, you will be the one to answer for that, not your team.

As a leader, your team looks at you for making decisions, that’s your leadership role. If you let them make decisions, you will loss the teams' respect for you as a leader.
