If you ask to your team to reach the moon then don't you think that you d better have to ask them to reach the sun?

Managing is also pushing performance a little bit above your expectations in order to get expected results.

We have a proverb in Arabic which means " If you want to be obeyed, you should ask for what is possible"

Being ambitious and maybe challenging is a good practice and there are several benefits that come along with it, but do not fall in the trap of asking for the impossible.

If you do that,  the reaction could be a mix of failure, frustration, and possibly making fun of you.

You can ask for ambitious objectives, but do NOT give fixed goals that are impossible to achieve.

You can tell your members ... "the skies is the limit" ... Some may reach100 meters up and see they have reached the skies, Others may reach1000 meter or even10,000 meters and believe they have reached the skies ...

But if you tell them to reach the moon, then you'd better avail a space shuttle for them to be able to reach there. To reach the sun ... is something else... and I do not recommend falling in this trap !!
