" PING " , simply means ' Packet Internet Groper '. This is a utility that actually lets you check the speed of Packet data sent and received on a network. When an IP address is pinged, the Network Adapter send out a specific number of packets and receives it back. A calculation of the receive time is made and this is usually in milliseconds. The higher this time is the longer it has taken the packets to be received. This is not good because it means that the Network has excess packet collisions and or noise and that it is quite slow.

and we use this command to test the local connectivity.

c:\ping127.0.0.1

we normally use this command "c:\ping127.0.0.1" to check if the Network card is working ok or not.

"ping" is refers to the network latency between a client, and either the server or another client.

"ping" is used on computer networks to verify conectevity to other computers.

the address127.0.0.1 is the IPv4 loopback address, it is used by devices to direct traffic to themselves.

Ping is used to check the connectivity  of network devices on the network it uses ICMP protocol  request by sending some bytes to the remote devices.

ما الغرض من الأمر السابق عندما ننفذ ping للعنوان127.0.0.1 ؟ هى عمليه اختبار لكارت الشبكه بيسموها عمليه سوفت وير على عكس ان انت تعمل بنه وتأرجها بطريقه معينه عشان تعمل تيست يدوى للكارت 

و ماذا تعني كلمة ping ؟ اختصار لـ packet Internet Groper وهو أداة معروفة لأغلب مهندسي وخبراء تقنية المعلومات ويعتبر أمر من الأوامر المستخدمة في نظام الدوس وذلك لغرض الفحص والتحقق من الاتصال بمستوى IP مع كمبيوتر آخر أو موجه مسار Router أو طابعة أو أي جهاز آخر يستخدم برتوكول TCP/IP . حيث يرسل الأمر ping مجموعة من حزم البيانات إلى جهاز آخر مشترك في نفس الشبكة ويطلب منه الرد بإشارات معينة على هذه الحزم ثم يعرض النتائج بأكملها على الشاشة. الشكل العام للأمر ping :   

و متى نسخدم الأمر السابق ؟

    غرض الفحص والتحقق من الاتصال لأى IP

 we use this command " ping127.0.0.1"  to know if this PC working on the network ( check if network adapter working or not) it means send a messege to the local host if its reply it means this adapter working good but if it is not reply that means it is not working good.

PING refet to : Packet Internet or Inter-network Groper   

we use this command when the ping on other clients or prepherals are not replying

It is use to check whetehr the nic(network interface card ) of ur device is wokrking or not. In other words we can say tht wheteher the tcp/ip stack is working or not.ping refer to a command use to check whetehr the communication between the two device is established or not

This is a localhost address.

Simply you can use "ping127.0.0.1"  to test you NIC (Network Interface Card).

Every host should respond127.0.0.1 if the NIC is ok because every computer contains this record under /etc/localhost file.

make sure that your network lan card working and all ips are good to go

ping is used to send echos of data for another ip to make sure there is connectivty
