How do you determine the minimum level of production at your factory?

By capturing and monitoring daily projected production activities taking cognisance of factors such as waste/rejections due to defective materials and/or quality control requirements with regards to tabacco quality assurance in order to achieve the minimum projected targets in alignment with todays PLC systems and equipment which targets are determined by the companies planning and production departments.

Production is the quantity required to fulfil sales orders.

 

Productivity is the speed of production and the O.E.E. target vaue is 95% of the maximum process speed. That is, if the process maximum is 400 pieces per hour, the minimum target is 380 pieces per hour.

Minimum level of production is determined on the basis of cost involved for producing it, it should be equal to raw material and overhead expenses.

By studying the process & eliminating all the non value adding activities.

This will give the best minimum level of the production.

It depends on the Production Market Demand - and It depends on the Production Order. 

Minimum level of production is collective output in terms of intermediate & finished goods against pre-defined target and OEE.
