Opensource ERPs like Odoo definitely give closed source ERPs a run in their business with amazing front-end features and very less installation and running costs.

With the advent of cloud computing, opensource ERPs are going to be much more competitive considering the product lifecycle remains with the software manufacturer and customers don't need to worry about the maintenance, upgrades or compatibility issues.

There is a big market under the middle scale organizational classification block which is yet to be completely explored. With opensource ERPs hitting this area, the prospects seem good for the future.
