I definitely would modify my style of communication in different global environments. There are different methods of dealing with different cultures and geographic regions. It’s VERY important to know the audience just like in any other communication scenario; people respond differently to different methods of communication or motivation. It’s a good idea to adapt to a certain style, one that preferably matches up closely with the culture and then slowly go back to the original style as relationships develop with the people in the workplace.            Every culture has different implicit assumptions and different cultural norms and for this reason it essential for better communication to be more transparent in everyday requests. Being used to international environments, I find myself often being more articulate in order to avoid conflict or confusion when it comes to expectations. Being explicit sometimes seems redundant when around people with the same implicit meanings but it’s a good or even required habit to have when working with internationals.
