Its ideal to have smart machines but still can not improve productivity without smart/trained labour.

Another issue with smarts machine is that such machines will reduce RONA machines are expensive. Factory will require highly skilled maintenance technicians which can increase maintenance cost too.

On other side having smart/skilled/trained labor will give following benefits.

1- Low manufacturing costs.

2- High RONA

3- Easy maintenance

4-  Low spare parts costs

- industry size.

- Process complexity.

- Production lead time.

OF COURSE MAN - MACHINE NEEDS FEEDING & MAN FEEDS. WHATEVER YOU PRODUCE CAN NOT BE ACHIEVED WITHOUT A MAN. GOD MADE THIS AMAZING MACHINE (MAN) WHO IS CAPABLE TO PERFORM ANY WORK BUT MACHINE BIG _ NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

The highest technology equiped machines will under perform when machine crews are under trained/ under qualified

expert labours are also work like smart machines. But expert labour and smart machines both are the basic requirement of any factory. for safety purpose and better production.

There really is no right answer to this question. It depends on the company and the market it is in.

If there are repetitive and or dangerous tasks, it is better for the machines to do the work. If the company is in the market where it uses cheap labour then that is what it does.

Usually it is a combination of the two for the best results as in a car assembly plants: men work the presses; robots weld and paint the bodies; people do the assembly.

Hope that helps you.
