Prior for inspection you must have the RFI, IFC drawing on that particular area to be inspected in order to check whether you meet the standard specifications.

Must have the RFI with the specific details to be inspected against the actual / physical status of the equipment and the drawings, plans etc.
Prior to Inspection , the following points need to be considered.
Specification / Requirements, Latest Version of Drawing, Method statement, Test Procedures Reference Document (like standards for Acceptance criteria verification) if any.
The Construction Manager issues an IRF to QA/QC when he is satisfied the works comply with the specification and approved drawings, indicating the date and time required for inspection. The IRF shall have attached the appropriate Inspection checklist and or Quality assurance checklist fully completed by all parties.

You need to know and familiarized the approved plans, drawings, details, specifications and standards
Check and identify received RFI from production against to the latest revision of IFC drawing related, familiarize with the client specification / standard to decide the acceptance criteria, prepare the inspection tools / equipment to be used.
