It has been commonly observed that in the crises time, from all quarters pressure has been on the "Supply Chain Manager's" shoulder but when crises time passed away then others would be appeared to take the benefits?
What is your opinion, is this observation is correct or not?
A Supply Manager can make a difference when he/she procures goods as per specification and of right quality, at right price and deliver exactly on time. This will help the organization to overcome the supply related crisis.
Certainly, Supply Manager would be appreciated either orally in meeting or in writing provided he/she communicates all procurement updates to Senior Management and users on time and keeps good networking with all colleagues and Senior Management
Thanks

Well coordinated team, recognition and timely compensation can avoid many crisis
When it comes to your supply chain, a crisis would be a situation where one or more activities are interrupted, resulting in a major disruption of the normal flow of goods or services. Basically, three types of crisis exists- natural disasters, accidents and labor shortages.
A supply manager must have certain leadership skills that are needed to properly handle a major supply chain disruption. What's more, is that the appropriate skills and tactics vary from stage to stage throughout the crisis management process.
To come up with solid strategies in order to resolve the crisis.
By being flexible and treat the matter accordingly
Appreciation could be anything motivating like promoting
Some companies give awards and benefits to their manager for a job well done. The company tends to attract the best professionals if they give incentives and benefits for work best done by their professional managers and staff.
Recognition and compensation for the goals achieved by an individual for successfully averting a crises.
By sourcing the correct route of business enhancement to overcome the supply crisis and study market availability to ensure priper supply to its potentia customers
I recently had an experience when the Covid 19 crisis started. During the critical months, the authorities forced us to work with 50 percent of the staff. The goals and obligations were the same but the challenge to give a good service is our essence, so individualism is a weakness. The union makes us strong before these scenarios, so the work team took the merits. There was no theft of applause, in fact we were recognized by our costumers and bosses.
First the manager should identify the problems leading the company to crises, then if there is any findings related to supply chain, he/she must modify the wrong supply chain system of the company from his/her past experience, and for his/her success the company can rewarded him/her an appreciation letter or certificate, upgrading its incomes & benefits, or it can give a bonus.
Its Common everywhere that when the product is not sold out than the supply chain managers is held responsible and when the product is having good sales than the sales team always gets on top showing their effors to sell the product.
but the management is always their to review the situation and reward the right person for right job.
