After presenting the resignation a resource has to inform the company that he will leave the work place after a certain period of  time i.e., Notice Period.

Notice Period : is an expression used in  Job Applications. It is represented by period of time like (1 week,2 weeks,1 month, ....etc ).

as an employee or a candidate applying for a Job, you should mention the convenient time for you, to be informed and notified with the New Job offer and benefits. If you are accepted. 

You determine your Notice Period according to your ability to join the New Job in time, if you are accepted.
