Creating a need where there is none: Some of the examples i can think of.
Every time Apple launches a new iPhone: It creates a persuasion to by the latter phone by telling the market its the greatest iPhone ever and gives some stats how much faster better the phone is compared to the last iPhone and from the time iPhone was every launched. Do i need a new iPhone - No not really but Apple has made me feel my current smartphone is inferior to its latest offering.
Real Estate Marketing: When targeting HNI (High Net-worth Individuals) who already maybe home owners or others who are serial real-estate investors always persuades the property proposition how it will appreciate compare to your current real estate portfolio. Persuasive marketing where creation of unwanted demand takes place.
Credit Card companies: you need to take a look at what our card is offering your existing credit card does not com closed to ours even if you have a credit card from the same bank marketing that persuasion of another one will make you a more loyal customer to our bank/ credit card company & eventually credit card debt
