How do i convince my customer that investing in my banks fixed deposit is the best option when we are offering .5% less interest ?

Or when we are charging .25%higher interest on bank loans. The sales team is supposed to be the shock absorbers for the bank. Brining in deposits when the interest rate is not attractive compared to other banks or other investment options.

In my opinion.. the bank should grant his customer with confidence and flexibility before money.. the common sentence between all main customers is that "I trust those people and feel relax "

Return is the payment for risk.

If the interest rate is below of other products and/or competitors then you must explain to the customer that:

1. deposits have less risk than other products, hence pay less return

2. your bank is less exposed to market contingencies and risks and that is why it pays less
