The lap top is overheating and shutting down. what to do?

The lap top is placed on a flat and hard surface. I have cleaned the fan vent with a vacuum cleaner. I have done a power drain. Should I update the bios from the internet. What is the solution? There is also a grinding noise coming out of the lap top.

The issuance of the laptop noise indicates that he was suffering from electric hand feeding, either as a result of clogging the cooling fan with dust, or it may be damage to the charger  or the internal electrical feeder, either update the BIOS is not useless in this case
