I go into my office/work area, get a cup of coffee while the computer is booting up ... talk for a few min with the team members at in the coffee area and see if there are any pressing issues.
After that I am back to my desk read my email and answer as many as I can ... work on some documents ... by mid morning I walk the floor going to the mail desk, if our clerk did not collected the mail I take it to the office ... (the clerk did appreciate it) ... talk to other departments personnel to resolve problems; meet with vendors ... go back to my office and process more paperwork or analyse printouts;
My day usually been passing rather quickly and it never fails come5 pm someone needs something in an urgent matter or my boss wants some other documents ... a last min phone call or email from our VP or President seeking information ... it becomes very quickly routine ..expect the unexpected and take care of emergencies in between ...
All in all it boils down to is get your job done as good as possible ... always answer a VP or President ... and find the answers they are seeking
If you work in a retail environment, an early morning floor-walk with your staff is essential. This will assist in making sure your shelves are stocked, all expired stock removed and overall cleanliness and hygiene standards are met. To curb out-of-stocks, a daily store stock count ( or sectional/departmental stock count) is very helpful. A short 5minute staff meeting to adress issues and appoint tasks for the day makes for a smooth running of daily business. Daily office admin helps you to be organised and on top of your filing and prevents paperwork from piling up.

I think the best daily routine plans has to be focused on the priority subjects after a cup of coffee with colleagues and co-workers. The Daily plans start after looking at the Inbox messages to arrange the relevant answers to the customers and then decided to follow-up the daily plan as per the time schedule. All times I give the customers matters, first priority in my daily work and then other issues will be coming sequentially as per the time schedule of daily plan.
