How CSR (Corporate social responsibility ) become a part of trade compliance?

As per my experience with International Trade Compliance, any email, phone calls or form of communications involved are part of business transactions of both parties. As the gatekeeper, it's my responsibility to handle any of these kind of situation (critical or not especially from risk countries) by following the company procedures at the same time should be professionally transparent with customers to avoid any miscommunications.
