Start is DORA process.First time Client Machine sends the request with port 67 to DHCP Server and Sever send back reply with 68 port to the client machine.

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol is used to assign the ip address to the client automatically. The best part is the ip address changes every day and doesn,t remain static. Server can create a scope where the clients are assigned the ip address

DHCP is a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocols that helps to assign the automatically IP address to LAN/WAN clients. DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, it can be configured on server OS in which we can assign a range of IP addresses for clients in a network, when a computer boots in a network it request for IP address to DHCP server and DHCP server in turn assign IP address from the range that has been assigned at the time of configuration and we can also increase the IP range.
