My Manager is a general manager meant for all activities related to the company including he oversees the general day to day activities. Convincing him is extremely difficult when it comes to core engineering related queries as these technical issues require sustained and consistent involvement.
The most difficult situation was when i was a shift manager in McDonald UK and my business manager promised me to promote me on merit but unfortunately she had to get transfer to a different store just before my promotion. When the new manager came he didn't like me because i knew more then him because i worked in that same store for more then 5 years. And he came from the equipment company,he never worked in a store before.
He stooped my training and my promotion program and and gave someone else a chance for promotion just on the base of friendship.
Sadly i had to leave the store because their was no future for me in that store.
