It all depends on organization business strategy. if business development strategy allow business development internationally, as a business development manager may focus on opportunities to grow internationally.
Secondly, to grow business internationally the product must comply with international standards otherwise good to be limited locally
This Depends on the Field and the vision of the company.
Growing international if it's among the company's goals is a good idea. However certain considerations could be made
Companies exist because of customers and not for just existing. If the international markets have greater market prospects than the home company then a consideration towards the foreign market will be advisable.
Timing matters. It depends on how grown the home company is. Has the home company attained an acceptable growth level where it can stand home competition and succeed. Because we don't want a situation where we focus on the building and neglect the foundation. give the home company a solid foundation then focus abroad
However there could be an opportunity in a foriegn market which the company may need to seaze and maximise at a particular season and in case of such growing that foreign company mignt need to take focus.
depend upon your business, its necessary to stand in locally then move ahead ....also various things are involve to stand or move internationally you brand , costumers... etc
