A manager controls activities and actions often being an implementor themself of the action whereas a leader inspires, motivates and facilitates others actions providing guidelines, development and ultimately growth. I believe in the next few years a flatter leadership structure will evolve with posibly no CEO rather a larger team of cross-functionally knowledgeable cohorts leveraging each others skill and motivating team cooperation for the company to exceed expectation.
