When it comes to employee development I would go with the following pillars:
Trust, Recognition, Empowerment, and Development.
No specific order for these pillars and the most important the Trust.
Knowledge
Equity
Cooperation
Sustainability
Productivity
Safety and Security
being Initiative as a human
Work environment

5) Adaptive Nature
Number one pillar for any human development is education. If a person is really educated, he would have a permanent change in behavior and understanding. So he would not have problems with improving the other pillars...

It's quite simple, the pillars of human development are
1. Social Maturity. With time it's expected from us to mature and be able to work with other human beings and to communicate
2. Competence. To create order with time and with practice, that's what humanity always strives for and this is where competence comes in to learn to create and maintain order in our lives.
3. Wisdom. The ability to obtain knowledge through our lives and be able to learn from it so that we can model our lives to be better is something priceless
