I don't believe the gender of a customer service agent determines who is more capable of handling customer issues. Agents, whether male or female, who maintain a professional attitude and manner are the employees who are able to successfully handle customer relations. An employee who is friendly, confident, knowledgeable, and has excellent verbal skills will be the best candidate, regardless of gender.
Ofcourse not .handling the situation is about the personality view of the customer service person no matter what is the gender.

This is my thinking, I know there would be many who would agree or disagree However,
Verdict - Yes and then it kind of even's out!
Reason: "Attention to detail more by Women"..
For example, if you were to see a man who wants to showoff his new White Omega watch, at best he would wear a matching shoes or white shirt. But on the other hand, if you see a Woman who just bought herself a lovely pair of Red shoes, would match up with lot of accessories like a purse, nail polish, red dress, Red dial watch..Most of the time men do not give attention to the minuet details than Women. Similarly, women do a great job in handling the customers as CSA.
Having said that I would like to say, there are lot of men who go that extra mile to win the customers and also when the going gets tough, men handle the situation better than women in case of irate customers - so kind of even's out.
customer service like many other administrative jobs should NOT be narrowed to gender or race, the only time that gender should be considered is: for example, if the organization is for 'ladies only' then it would make sense to adhere to cultural preferences.
BOTH CAN DO WELL !!.. Its depend upon their ABILITY AND PERFORMANCE. there is "NO" gender deference !!
i think its not depend on the gender weather its male or female both can handle as per my view who has more experince and understanding the customer needs can handle with having a smile in face
Customer service does not rely on gender profiles, with edequite training provided and passion for service, both genders can be successful.
of course , female customer service agents are more able to handle customers better than male agents , since female agents have the abililty of convincing and i think they are more real and dont lie and in advance when they talk to the customrs they talk in a classy way and this thing distinguish them more .
Working in the US corporate environment, I have seen that gender does not play a role in handling how to best handle a customer. It has to do with your basic training and professionalism. Empathy towards customers plays a big role in working with customers in the best way along with patience.
May be a professional Female can handle customer.Exeption couldn't be the example.I think Male agent is better than female for his patience owned by born naturally.Customer concentrate on speech of male agents cause male agent is beautiful on works than his physical beauty.He can serve customer by his speech,by documents,even physically,so he is all-rounder.
