I am afraid I will have to skirt the direct question and answer this by saying: No digital advertising professional should play favorites when it comes to what's best for you/your needs/your budget and your target. Your choice of a likely platform to advertise on will and MUST be determined by what are you selling and where does your target live? As the old adage goes - 'Fish where the fish are.' Facebook advertising is simple, easy to place and overall great for smaller (everyday) budgets - better controlled spending and frequent platform reports to help you make your communication more acute. But then so are some other available platforms. So we come back to the base - what are we selling and who is the potential buyer?? That is the final deal.
No doubt Facebook is the platform to be for any B2C organization. Facebook is great for segmenting and targeting exactly the consumers you are after. But when it comes to engagement with your content look rather somewhere else because Face-bookers' focus and attention span is limited by the media's purpose. So I guess the answer that everyone would agree with is it depends on many parameters that could lead to a successful campaign. Social media have their cons and pros and integration of various platforms' capabilities should be a response to a strategic marketing approach.
Definitely yes and I will give face 7/10 when it comes to social media marketing. However, you will need a strategy, tactics and a good budget

I do agree with Sunny Rizvi, that marketers should never play favorite with choice of media. A marketers favorite media is the one that has maximum number of eyeballs of his target audience at the least cost.
