It is always the job satisfaction because if they are satisfied with their job it means that they are motivated and this will be the key for them to improve and move to the next level/promotion will somehow bring them to have a higher salary.
Both will play a vital role.
Money is not the key factor of happiness and satisfaction. Although financial issues play important roles in today life; however, having a high-class style of living does not guarantee that you feel happy, It is more important to work at a job that you enjoy, even if the salary is low, than it is to have a high-paying job that you do not enjoy
Normally job satisfaction.
The answer to this question is purely subjective as it depends on the individuals, personal circumstance, values and personality. Whats motivates that individual to get out of bed in the morning, if you can figure that out then you will have your answer.
Personally job satisfaction for me is more important than money as i cannot excel in a job where i do not fill fulfilled. Money just isnt enough of a motivating factor to get me out of bed in the morning, i have to love what i do and enjoy the people i do it with.
