When building up sales team which one will you consider a. Experience b. Attitude please explain why?

Well , I feel there are various things to be considered before hiring a person, Which depends upon nature of the work and job requirements along with company policies.  

 

Attitude is an important ingredient , along with communication , stability , desire to work , cultural fitness , integrity , loyalty,  educational qualification, certain technical knowledge ( If nature of job demands that ).

Experience may be or may not be needed depending upon job profile and nature of the job. If someone is hiring for front line , where people can learn process or trick of the trade quickly , Fresher can be hired. There companies who are hire fresher only but only to begin with.   But one can not afford only attitude and all other personal attributes including educational qualification for higher position , where certain technical knowledge , working knowledge, team handling, people management   is required.

So I view that attitude is critical and important ,  As far as experience is concerned , it may be or may not be required depending upon job profile and company policies.

In my opinion, both of them and I add motivated character  especially for sales, since sales person use the attitude to convince the customer and use motivated character as a spark of new start every day, then get benefit from his experience to open new markets ......
