What are the main differences between verbal and non-verbal communication? Which situations would be best suited for either form of communication?

Verbal Communication is the way we speak to the customer/client let's say for example one must talk clearly and audibly in a polite tone and must deliver the expected message. Non-Verbal is the way we approach the customer /client by shaking hands firmly and looking straight to the face making him to get your attention.

Verbal Communication is the one in which direct talk is involved, some of the best examples of verbal communication are taking lessons in a class or with a group of people, public speech, giving a small talk etc.

Non-Verbal Communication is the one in which direct talk is not involved and the mode of Communication would be through Email, letter etc.

Both types of communications are of equal importance. The use of verbal ie talk or non-verbal ie body gestures, depends purely on situation and people invloved. A predtermined rule or regulations cannot be set. Cannot be sure how a person will react in a particular situation.

Verbal communication entails vocing out a message, an instruction or passing an information to a colleque via the form of the sense of sound. Why non verbal is also a means of passing information through the use of hand gestures, signs or facial expression. Both methods apply based on the audience and situation at hand.

Communication is an essential part of carrying on tasks, it is an act of intereacting with people & to express the emotions as well as inforamtion.Communication can be devised in two broad catergories 

1. Verbal Communication

2. Non-Verbal Communication.

Verbal Communication includes speaking & writing. Communicating with someone through speech or in writing is called verbal communication. Speaking or wrriten mode can be used to transmit mesages.It can be formal or informal.Coomunication gap error is less in verbal communication.Fomal communication act as evidencary proof.

Non-Verbal Communication includes the use of signs to communicate & transmit messages.It includes signs, gestures to communicate to transmit messages.The error chances are most of the times in this form of communication.There is no proof of evidencary in this form of communication

Verbal communication is best form to communicate to the audience without any body gesture whereas non verbal communications are mostly hand gestures, facial  gestures and pointing gestrure to some written documents on the presentation board and asking the audience to have a look at the matter and understand them. Both verbal and non verbal are interlinked so it depends on the situation it is mostly used.

Verbal communication is used to share the thoughts using vocal instruction and best suited for the face to face or telephonic connversation (it is semi formal mode of communication).

however, non-verbal communication ranges from writing a letter, email, blog, memo, and includes signs, signals, gestures (writing is suitable for formal set of communication or for conveying standard instructions).
