Namaste! Tomas. Thanks for asking this question. In Basketball travelling is a violation of the rules that occurs when a player holding the ball moves one or both of their feet illegally. Most commonly, a player travels by illegally moving his or her pivot foot or taking three or more steps without dribbling the ball. Hope you will like it :)

The answer is in two categories. 1st. Travel in Basketball is a offensive player violation. It's when an offensive player takes two many steps before dribbling the basketball. 2nd. Travel in Basketball can be used when describing a team mission statement on how they travel to different countries and locations to play the game of Basketball.

Taking more than two steps with basketball in hand is called "travelling".
