What is the future of renewable energy sources in Saudi Arabia say after 5 years of after a decade?

Future for renewable energy for any country is based on its resources. Right now, KSA is rich in Oil resource and looks unlikely that this country would deviate from this non-renewable resource as most of the countries income is from the production of oil and becomes cheap for the country to obtain energy.

This being said, the only other renewable resource for KSA at this point is Solar energy. To me personally, in the next 10 odd years KSA could look into transferring anywhere from 3% to 10% of the energy needs to solar panels just to stay in the global race for renewable industry.
