Questions that recruiters might ask to candidates applying for an entry-level jobs in the field of accounting, are, mostly, questions that aim to evaluate the candidate's knowledge and understanding of accounting fundamentals.

If I was to take interview, I would rather emphasize on one's Interest and ability to work. You know, these days, we have error free programs that work for us. And there is a specific department that recruit sound candidates for the required job like HR dpt.It is necessary to evaluate one's knowledge of the field but interviewer should keep in mind that one can get expense, receivables, bank reconciliations formats in excel where adjustments can be done to get computed balances _________ But the for interview, we are not taking exam, the purpose of taking interview is to understand Ones behavior, knowledge obviously, interest and ability to perform work, knowing about ones rituals routine etc.
All questions will never be asked from the major. Be prepared accordingly !
