in my opinion it depends on adminstrative distance
u cant select wich protocol is the better
every protocol has advantages and disadvantages for example eigrp has back up route but it supports cisco only
but u can select the best route through adminstrative distance
BGP/EGP is the best routing protocal for a large company or that has international branches.
BGP is the best protocol along with OSPF (redistributed into BGP). in a standard Telecom/LAN environment the static customer routes/subnets can be redistributed into OSPF for a particular circle/Region then integrated into the Pan Circle BGP Cloud. MPLS can also be used for content propagation monitoring.now since EIGRP is made platform independent EIGRP with BGP is prefered.
the routing protocol is provide the best path or shortest path to transfer the data.
the most trusted protocol is static routing protocol because this protocol manually one by one provide admin value or gateway any one of router is must be define but it is not work large company default routing protocol or ospf routing protocol
