Are Customers Prefer Self-Service?

I do not think customers of today, that is in 2017 - prefer self service.

In most cases customers are not given the choice. It is often cheaper to automate some functions, like the sale of public transport ticketing, but in general customers go shopping for the personal and full service experience, else we would all choose to use the internet to shop for our goods and service.
