Strategies are always great. But as said, strategy is all about execution, what are the best tips you could offer for assuring strategy execution.

Plz follow the3 C's of  Implementation of strategy, which are given below:

1.Clarify your strategy: So the first step is to clarify your strategy in a way that people in your organization can rally to support its implementation. Done well, this strategy will tie together your goals and objectives and clearly explain what you intend to do.

2.Communicate your strategy: Communication is the second C. Powerfully communicating the essence of your strategy at every level of the organization using multiple mediums is the key here.Use internal blogs and message boards, brown bag luncheons, podcasts, and department meetings to communicate what the strategy is and how everybody’s work is informed by that strategy. Discussions need to occur at each level, translating the organization’s strategy to understandable and contextualized sound bites, which connect to the work of individuals. In short, communicating the strategy provides the “connective tissue” throughout the organization that helps people understand the big picture.

3.Cascade your strategy: If strategy is “what” you do then tactics are “how” you do it. And if you want your strategy implemented well, you need to cascade it throughout the organization and get to the practical and tactical components of people’s jobs every day. Ideally, you will involve your managers in this process, and they will help to translate the elements of the strategy for your organization to their own functional areas. Doing this allows them to develop and own the process of cascading the strategy and designing implementation plans with high likelihood of execution. Cascading strategy is the proverbial rubber hitting the road. The bulk of the work in implementing strategy is done at this stage. It is the team meetings, the one-on-one coaching, the process improvements, the customer meetings, and the responses to the market that, in alignment with an organization’s strategy, can make a tremendous difference for an organization.

Conceptually, use a stategy implementation system such as the scorecard.

I think that the main process is as follows:

- Define your strategy success factors.

- Define the departments operations plans aligned to your strategy.

- Define the departments' success factors.

- Define the performance measures for each of the comapny's and the departments' success factors.

- Track those performance measures (some of them are daily, others weekly and so on). This must be done by the CEO as well as any other manager in the company.

- Take corrective actions as and when required.

- Review your strategy in light of actual achievements and changes,

i think the question is like

 what is the best way to assure strategy preparation , to assure the proper execution of it ?

we should focus on the strategy it self , action plans are accurately stated ?  measures of achievements are deployed ? tools well known ? preventive measures before corrective actions ?

The only way to adequately distinguish between a failed strategy and failed execution of a successful strategy is to , first rule out improper execution.

The successful operations executive must ensure that, when strategy is developed, it is executed consistently within the organization so performance can be measured, controlled and adjusted as necessary.

I may add one more tip. "what is in for me (employees). The strategy should be clear in this regard and employees should no and believe that there is something for them.

Introduce balanced scorecard ,it would help managers with better scales of success as it is a management system that enables an organization to set, track, and achieve its key business strategies and objectives.In short it is an ERP for the strategic planning. My experience has been that such management tools in fast growing competitive environment are very helpful in evaluating from time to time, strategy implementation for the management and produces very good results.
