Hello Abdul Rahim,
How are you? I am sure you already got the answer but I just saw it and like to drop few lines as well.
Click Start
Type: cmd Right click on cmd in start menu and select 'Run as Administrator' Type: net stop wuauserv Hit Enter Type: ren c:\\windows\\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old Hit Enter Type: net start wuauserv Hit Enter Type: exit Hit Enter Attempt to download updates Also go to start / run / services.msc hit enter go select windows update and select AUTOMATIC apply and OK See if that makes a difference! Also, you can check services log and see if there is any error code. Let me know and I will be happy to assist you. I hope you have not formatted or re-install windows cuz to me formatting and re-installing windows is not the salutation of every issue.
If you get an error message copy it and search MS KB you'll find most of the solutions there.
