Hey Specialists, I want to know if there's any option for an Excel user to make a drop down list of items on a single cell in work sheet ?

yes here are the steps to create a drop down list in excel:

    • Select the cell or range of cells where you want the drop down to appear (B2 suppose to be example).
    • Go to Data –> Data Tools –> Data Validation.
    • In the Data Validation dialogue box, within the settings tab, select List as Validation Criteria.
    • In Source field, select the cells which have the items that you want in the drop down.
    • Click OK.

Now, cell B2 has a drop down list which shows the items names in A2:A6. As of now, we have a drop down list where you can select one item at a time.

Yes we can make a drop down list in excel. Here are the following steps :  Add another column to the data which have formula to calculate the task period then choose data validation and choose list from the allow part, the select the range that contain your list items you want.

Yes you have a option in Excel to make drop down list.

Please follow this simple steps:

  1. Create the list in cells where you want (A1:A4. ...)

  2. Select cell E3. ...

  3. Choose Validation option from the Data menu in excel.

  4. Then choose List from the Allow option's drop-down list. ...

  5. Select the Source control and drag to highlight the cells A1:A4. ...

  6. Make sure the In-Cell Drop down option is checked. ...

  7. Then enter ok

Here is your drop down.

This is possible using Data Validation

 

you just select the cell you want

go to data tab

choose data validation

then choose list from the allow part, then select the range that contain your list items you want.
