Multiple monirors improve workplace ergonomics. Additional screens can make you more productinve at work. There are numerous studies supporting this fact. Personally I prefer working on two screens, or even three. It really helps in so many applications.
For example when I work on a project i have my MS project on one screen and my communication and collaboration tools on the other. Or if I create graphics I use three screens keeping my tools on the first screen, the main drawing window in the center, and my library on the right screen.
Honestly I only have worked with one screen or one computer at a time. Though I am willing and eager to know how working with two screens will be.
YES i find i achieve more by using multiple screens, it depends on the type of softwares you use however, for example
-while doing costings and estimates i have my email with AE requests on one screen and my MS Excel on the other allowing me to just work without switching screens
- while using Design and 3d softwares (with detachable toolbars) i have the toolbars in one screen and the design window on the other, this way i can see more on the design window with less scrolling or moving the camera (but maybe this one is just me, i have a good knowledge of the keyboard shortcuts)
I always work with 2 screens.
And I am much more productive than by using only 1 screen. I can solve many tasks much faster.
i work only with one screen and i do other service works elv installation ,fibre optics but if i get a chance to work with more than 1 screen defenitely i would love to work . And yes ofcoarse i will feel productive honestly working with more than 1 screen . I am a challenge lover would love to take challenges and new skills and concepts .
