Great question. I would be in support of teaching social media and their impact on society. Let's be realistic for the sake of this post; social media is carving tomorrow's societies and most of everything people will do would certainly be done through a single or a combination of media. People will be interacting with each other, doing business, making new connections, sharing with each other, exchanging, transacting etc using a digital platform. So the importance of SM is huge because it'll shape how a society will conduct its affairs from community level to international level. So indeed youngsters should be prepared to not only using SM but understanding its impact and how it will benefit them.
