If you own a cnc milling machine 3-axis only, and you need to add a fourth axis, what are the possible scenarios for the implementation of this?

It is possible to add an A axis if your controler and software support it, if not it can be retrofitted with a controller and software that does! In the world of cnc there are many ways around challenges that can get you the resault you desire

simple......buy a4 th axis  rotary table  from nikken or other brand ...along with they will supply all interface systems....

 

but you need to spend more to add a additional axis in the existing machine also not advised.....

firstly .. you should know if your machine controller support4 axis machining .. in fanuc .. it's in system settings .. see if you have4axis below X , Y , Z . if so, u can purchase a4or even5 axis unit kit suitable for your machine dimension . secondly .. if u use cam software for generating G-code .. then u should make sure that u have the right post that supports your new axis and make sure that your controller can read it right .
