Should an area manager in a brand or a company have the knowledge about the language, culture, people and tradition of the area?

Hello, Yes definitely he has to know about his team culture, traditions, and very few at least about the language because the culture diversity should be well understood and studied in multi cultural environment to avoid conflicts, communication barriers, and traditions or terminologies that might be considered positive in your language but may be considered negative in other people's understanding.

Thanks for the invite. I think that he should know all of that for him to become a really effective area manager. Because he should be the one who sees a bigger picture of the company where it is located. Plus it is an exciting kind of work learning everything from a new area or community.

Being a Area manager, yes he should have at least the idea about all of them in order to deal with the situation that may arise day in and day out in his line of business, and of-course  he does not have to be flawless in all the aspect required, because if that is the case then the company has to select a Area manager from the area only.
