Yes I do and always try to make according to the requirement a company is looking for.
I think it really depends on where you are in your career. Those just looking for any job will put a generic cv together and apply everywhere. However when applying for a junior, mid or senior role in any good company then you should really be personalising your cv to meet the companies culture and job specs. This definitely puts you a cut abover the rest. Companies appreciate the fact that you have researche dtheir background and gone out of your way to tailor your cv to their needs. A lot more information can be added to a colver letter to make the application more personalised.
I do personalize my CV for the respective company as per the need and my experience also.
Mr. Salah, I would used the word “customize” instead of personalize, as in our HR field there are various roles / functions available like ;
- Talent Acquisition
- Talent Management
- Learning & Development
- Organization Development etc
Sometime organizations are in need of combination of roles in case of not large organization and sometime the need is for specific role and for those who acquire various role they customize their profiles as per the requirement so that they’ll get attracted by employer and it’s good to have it a per the requirement.
